008 Wartortle

Day 8, finished. No colour this time as I'm completely out of energy.

I'm definitely getting much better at drawing what I see, rather than what I think "should" be there - and that's had a huge impact on how accurate my drawing is, which I'm really happy about 🙂

I still struggle a lot with proportions of some of the weirder elements, like Wartortle's claws or... horns? I don't actually know what the wings on its head are. I think I captured the facial expression much better this time.

I have a busy evening tomorrow and I have some other work I'd like to pursue, so I expect Blastoise will be another colourless sketch. I hope not, but we'll see 😉
