Day 6. Wow - lots to talk about here...

Firstly I changed back to Photoshop for this one. In a nutshell, I definitely need to learn more about the software - colouring this was a nightmare and easily took 3 times longer than it took me in CLIP, which I'm about 90% sure is because I don't know how to use Photoshop correctly.

Secondly, my drawing technique was very different for this one! I've been watching a ton of art content and trying to improve my skills in other areas, and the two main techniques I tried applying here were drawing from my shoulder and staring at the reference image instead of at my picture. Drawing from my shoulder felt strange at first, but has gotten much easier (interesting side effect - I started holding my pen differently, much more akin to how I held it when I used to play osu!). Staring at the reference image instead of the picture... I get *why* I want to do it, and I've definitely noticed an improvement in how I proportion and angle things, but I've got a lot more work to do before I can say I'm "doing it right".

I'm much happier with the pose and posture in this drawing. I think I'm starting to make some real progress there - largely thanks to the aforementioned techniques.

There's not really anything about the drawing I strongly dislike, I just wish I didn't have to spend so long fighting with Photoshop (and thus could add more details to the image). I might go back to CLIP for the next drawing, until I'm more comfortable in PS.

I don't know. We'll see.

As always, I hope you enjoy my art!
