010 Caterpie

Day 10! This drawing is *okay*, but I'm proud of myself for completing it given the circumstances. I broke my quarantine by going for a walk at lunch today, and enjoyed being outside so much I decided to go for a 3 mile walk after work.

Turns out that was a Bad Idea, especially after months of basically no activity. I had no energy left to draw or do any of the other things I needed to get done. As such, the drawing is lackluster compared to my other works.

I'm happy that my "artist's eye" is developing, I'm finding it much easier to identify lines and shapes, and judge where my lines should fall. I'm still (mostly) striking my lines with confidence, which results in a lot of restating, but gives a much better result than slowly drawing each line. I've also noticed myself identifying subtle details about objects in the world around me - where their lines meet, what they *really* look like, that kind of thing; which makes me excited to have another go at another still life at the weekend ๐Ÿ˜

There's not too much more to say - the next few drawings will probably look similar in quality to Caterpie; I want to focus on technical work a bit more, particularly drawabox. I'd say overall I'm still having a lot of fun doing this challenge, but I don't want to let it consume all my time drawing ^^

Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy my work!
